Welcome to Waget. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Waget mobile application (the “App”) and the website at waget.app (the “Website”), provided by Appmentor OU (“we,” “our,” or “us”), a company registered in Estonia, Europe.

By downloading, installing, or using the App, or by accessing the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App or Website.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in jurisdictions where applicable, such as the European Economic Area) to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Account Registration & Security

To access certain features of the App, you must create an account.

  • Registration Methods: You may register using Sign in with Apple or an email address and password.
  • Account Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate and current.
  • Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • One Account Per Person: Each individual may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts may result in suspension or termination.

3. Description of Service

Waget is a personal budget and expense tracking application that provides:

  • Multi-wallet management with support for different currencies
  • Income and expense transaction tracking with categories and tags
  • Voice-powered transaction input using AI and speech recognition
  • Budget creation and monitoring
  • Recurring transaction scheduling
  • Spending analytics with charts and statistics
  • Cloud synchronization and data backup
  • Wallet sharing and collaboration with other users
  • Local and push notifications for reminders and alerts

Features may be added, modified, or removed at our discretion. Some features may require a premium subscription.

4. User Content & Financial Data

  • Your Data: You retain full ownership of all financial data, transaction records, and other content you enter into the App (“User Content”). We do not claim any ownership rights over your User Content.
  • Accuracy: You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the financial data you enter. Waget processes and displays the data as you provide it.
  • Not Financial Advice: Waget is a tracking and organizational tool only. The App does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. The analytics, charts, and summaries presented are based solely on the data you enter and should not be relied upon for financial decision-making. You should consult a qualified professional for financial advice.
  • License to Us: By submitting User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, synchronize, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the App’s services to you.

5. Cloud Sync & Data Backup

  • Automatic Synchronization: When you create an account, your data is automatically synchronized between your device and our cloud servers to provide backup and cross-session access.
  • Best Effort: While we strive to ensure reliable synchronization, we do not guarantee that sync will be uninterrupted or error-free. Temporary network issues, server maintenance, or device conditions may affect synchronization.
  • Data Integrity: We implement technical safeguards to prevent data loss and corruption during synchronization. However, we are not liable for data loss resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to device failure, network outages, or force majeure events.
  • Local Storage: A copy of your data is also stored locally on your device. If cloud sync is unavailable, you can continue using the App with local data.

6. Wallet Sharing

  • Sharing Wallets: You may invite other Waget users to access your wallets by providing their email address. They will receive an in-app invitation.
  • Roles and Permissions: Shared wallets support three roles: Owner (full control, including the ability to delete the wallet and manage participants), Editor (can add, edit, and delete transactions), and Viewer (read-only access to transactions and balances).
  • Data Visibility: When you share a wallet, all transaction data within that wallet (amounts, categories, dates, notes) becomes visible to participants. You are responsible for ensuring you are comfortable sharing this information before inviting others.
  • Revoking Access: The wallet owner can remove any participant at any time. Removed participants will immediately lose access to the wallet and its data.
  • Responsibility: You are responsible for the actions performed by users you invite to your shared wallets. Choose carefully whom you grant Editor access to.

7. Subscription & Premium Features

  • Free and Premium Tiers: The App offers both free features and a premium subscription (“Waget Premium”) that unlocks additional functionality.
  • Payment: Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store. All payments are processed by Apple and are subject to the App Store’s terms and conditions.
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have access to premium features until the end of the paid period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
  • Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Any price changes will be communicated in advance and will apply to the next billing cycle after the change. Apple may require your consent for price increases as per App Store policies.
  • Restore Purchases: If you reinstall the App or switch devices, you can restore your subscription through the App’s settings.

8. Voice Input & AI Processing

  • How It Works: The App uses on-device speech recognition (Apple’s SFSpeechRecognizer) and server-side AI processing to convert your voice into transaction data.
  • Accuracy: AI-powered voice recognition and transaction parsing are provided on a best-effort basis. Results may not always be accurate. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all transactions created through voice input before saving them.
  • Microphone Permission: Voice input requires access to your device’s microphone. You can enable or disable this permission at any time through your device’s settings.
  • Language Support: Voice input supports 57 languages. Accuracy may vary depending on the language, accent, and environmental conditions.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the App.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security features of the App.
  • Use the App to transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful data.
  • Access or attempt to access another user’s account without authorization.
  • Use the App in a manner that could damage, overburden, or impair our servers or infrastructure.
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the App or its services.
  • Share your account credentials with third parties or allow others to use your account.
  • Use the App to facilitate money laundering, fraud, or other financial crimes.

10. Intellectual Property

  • Our Property: The App, Website, and all associated content (including but not limited to software, design, text, graphics, logos, icons, and images) are the intellectual property of Appmentor OU and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved.
  • Limited License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
  • Your Content: You retain all rights to the financial data and content you enter into the App. We do not acquire any ownership of your User Content.

11. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services to provide its functionality. These include:

  • Google Firebase (authentication, cloud database, storage, analytics, crash reporting, performance monitoring, remote configuration)
  • RevenueCat (subscription and in-app purchase management)
  • Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store payments, Speech Recognition)

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party providers.

12. Disclaimers

THE APP AND WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
  • The results obtained from the use of the App (including AI-generated transaction data) will be accurate or reliable.
  • Cloud synchronization will be available at all times or that data will never be lost.
  • The App will be compatible with all devices or operating system versions.

Waget is not a financial advisor. Any financial information displayed in the App is based solely on data you have entered and is for informational and organizational purposes only.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, APPMENTOR OU AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Loss of data, profits, or revenue
  • Financial losses resulting from reliance on information displayed in the App
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
  • Data loss due to synchronization failures, device failures, or service outages
  • Actions taken by other users in shared wallets
  • Inaccurate transaction data resulting from voice input or AI processing

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR FIFTY EUROS (€50), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Appmentor OU and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your use of the App or Website
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Data or content you share through wallet sharing features

15. Account Termination

  • By You: You may delete your account at any time through the App’s settings. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed from our servers. Active subscriptions should be cancelled separately through your Apple ID settings.
  • By Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or illegal activity, or if we reasonably believe your continued use poses a risk to the App, other users, or our services. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before or at the time of termination.
  • Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. We may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including Sections 10, 12, 13, 14, and 17.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Estonia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you reside.

17. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the App:

  1. Informal Resolution: You agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at [email protected]. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve the matter within 30 days.
  2. Jurisdiction: If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Harju County, Estonia.
  3. EU Consumers: If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Appmentor OU regarding your use of the App and Website. These Terms supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.

20. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, through an in-app notification. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the App and delete your account.
