Account Deletion

You can delete your Waget account at any time, directly from the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and all associated financial data from our servers. This page explains how to do it and what gets removed.

Delete Your Account From the App

Follow these steps inside the Waget iOS app:

  1. Open the Waget app on your iPhone.
  2. Go to the Settings tab.
  3. Find the Account section.
  4. Tap the menu icon in the top right corner to reveal account options.
  5. Select Delete Account and confirm when prompted.

Your account and all associated data are deleted immediately. There is no waiting period and no recovery option once deletion is confirmed.

Alternative: Request Deletion by Email

If you cannot access the app or prefer to request deletion in writing, send an email to [email protected] from the email address associated with your Waget account.

Include the following in your message:

  • The subject line “Account Deletion Request”.
  • The email address registered to your Waget account.

We will verify your identity and process the deletion within a reasonable timeframe, typically within a few business days.

What Gets Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:

  • Your profile information (name, email, profile photo)
  • All wallets, transactions, categories, and tags
  • Budgets and recurring transaction templates
  • Wallet sharing invitations and access
  • In-app notifications and preferences
  • Subscription association linked to your account (active App Store subscriptions must be managed separately through your Apple ID)

This action is permanent. Deleted data cannot be restored. We recommend exporting any information you want to keep before you delete your account.

About Your Subscription

Deleting your Waget account does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription. To cancel a subscription, open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and manage your Waget subscription from there.
